    Dear Supporters,

Thank you for your support! Though the results of the primary didn’t go our way, I want to extend my congratulations to Scott Murphy and Cassie Franklin. Running for Mayor of Everett has been one of the most eye-opening and inspiring experiences of my life, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who stood with me.

Thank you again for your support.  You believed in a grassroots campaign powered by integrity, compassion, and community. You knocked on doors, waved signs, shared stories, and showed up with heart. We didn’t rely on big money or political machinery; we relied on each other. That means everything.

While I won’t be on the ballot in November, I’m not going anywhere. I will continue advocating for social and economic justice and supporting this community because these are not just campaign issues; they are community essentials. I love this city, and I believe in us.

We will need each other in the days ahead. I trust us to listen, to care, to show up, and to build a future based on fairness and shared responsibility. This campaign may be ending, but the movement continues.

    With gratitude and hope,

    Janice R. Greene

    ABOUT ME

    Putting My Experience
    to Work

I've lived Everett's story and worked nearly all my life here. This city has shaped who I am, from catching the early bus to pick strawberries as a 12-year-old to punching the clock at Boeing as an IAM 751 member. As a young mom raising three kids in Everett, I lived the same struggles many families face today—that sinking feeling when deciding which bill to pay this month to watching childcare costs eat up most of your paycheck. This wasn't just a rough patch – this was life for years, and I know it's still the reality for too many of our neighbors.

I'm not just asking for your vote—I'm asking you to bring your everyday experiences to City Hall alongside my own because our experiences, our stories, and our voices matter! When we talk about balancing budgets, creating safe neighborhoods, or protecting our environment, these aren't abstract policy discussions to me—they're the real challenges I've faced alongside my neighbors here in Everett. Together, we can build a city that works for everyone, where “every voice is heard, and every community is valued."

    POLICY PRIORITIES

    Protect our Workforce

As a former union member, Janice will expand workforce training and apprenticeship opportunites, protect works rights, expand opportunities for young people to enter living wage careers and ensure development projects guarantee good wages.

    improve affordability

Janice understands the real cost of living in Everett. She’ll work to lower barriers to healthcare, childcare, and housing so families can stay and thrive in their own neighborhoods. Her plan includes increasing access to affordable childcare, stabilizing housing through tenant protections, and creating partnerships that bring costs down for working families.

    build safe communities

Every Everett resident deserves to feel safe in their home, at the park, or walking down the street. Janice will invest in public safety rooted in accountability, community trust, and timely emergency response. She’ll expand community policing programs, resource first responders, and support youth prevention efforts that address safety at its roots.

    create economic opportunities

Everett’s economy should work for everyone—not just the few. Janice will support local small businesses, create living-wage jobs, and bring investments that benefit the whole community. She’ll use her leadership experience to attract inclusive development, expand access to capital, and promote equitable growth in every neighborhood.
